4th millenium B.C. with the establishment of the "First Dynasty". The date of this

event is put by different authorities at various times between 3400 B.C. and 2850

B.C. But there were agricultural communities in Egypt for many centuries before this.

Nomadic hunters may have settled to an agricultural life in the Nile valley as early as

5000 B.C..............
